And yes, of course, snack away on that bean--it won't be young and green forever (and the two or three dried beans it would yield later aren't much use as soup, though you could plant them).

But a full spectrum grow-light bulb and a lamp to put it in (even one of those clip-on work lamps) should be widely available, and not too spendy.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05060981990418144426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5272441988152867135.post-80272208984055932172011-01-13T10:00:05.185-05:002011-01-13T10:00:05.185-05:00How you're resisting just picking and eating i...How you're resisting just picking and eating it is beyond me (fresh, young, raw, green beans! yum!)Kathleen Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08096607261757810034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5272441988152867135.post-5851736411798705032011-01-12T14:55:44.567-05:002011-01-12T14:55:44.567-05:00Aha! that would explain a lot. Sadly this window is as good as it gets at my house (really, it's quite amazing it's still alive at all; I do admire its fortitude) but maybe I could prune it down a bit so it conserves its energy? Post-harvest, natch ;^)Mary Keenanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05260934319762115179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5272441988152867135.post-46557981035388188542011-01-12T14:03:53.011-05:002011-01-12T14:03:53.011-05:00I know of nothing that suggests that wondering abo...I know of nothing that suggests that wondering about the taste of the beans will in any way jinx the plant! But a word of caution--that plant does look a little leggy, as if it might not be getting enough light (that may be part of why it's growing quite so fast and looking so long and thin). Possibly a nice grow lamp right up close to that baby would make it a bit stronger.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05060981990418144426noreply@blogger.com
