Book Camp, Day Three

I laughed, I cried, I ate cookies.

I also succumbed to peer pressure, which usually leads me to buy shoes, but this time was so powerful I actually signed up, along with many, many other people braver than I, to read from my writing for three minutes to maybe seventy people. In a word, ACK.

Expect a sharp increase in cookie consumption on the day I have to do it, is all I can say.

Good for you Maire. Reading your work out loud is an excelledt way to *listen* to what you have written. And you'll be amazed at how good it sounds. And direct audience feedback is something writers rarely get.

But keep on eating those cookies- they help.

Reading aloud from your own writing? That has to be one my very least favourite things to do. In fact, I'm going to the dentist in an hour, and I think I got the better deal.
Good for you, my friend, for being brave and doing it! You'll rock 'em.
